Christina Bueno (she/her)

Professional Counseling Intern

As a Bilingual Latina, I became a counselor after years of working as a professor of Latin American History and Latinx/Latin American Studies. I began to notice that more and more students seemed to be experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. After taking my first counseling course, I decided to become a professional in the field. My aim is to help empower clients. I create a supportive environment for individuals and am especially interested in working with students and young adults and professionals.

My aim is to help empower clients. I create a supportive environment for individuals and couples of all kinds. I am especially interested in working with students and adolescents. I’ve lived a full life, and want to help others navigate some of life’s transitions. I was raised in Mexico and spent several years in various Latin American countries and Spain. I welcome clients who are adjusting to new ways of living. As a certified yoga instructor, I also believe that body and mind are connected and employ mindfulness techniques and somatic approaches. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space that allows everyone to feel deeply understood for who they are.
